Right handed people live, on average, 9 years longer than left handed People do.
IN YOUR FACE LEFT-HANDERS!
Although I had always wanted to be a left hander, (cause it was different from everyone else) now...
I might give a second thought.
I am DEFINITELY not born a left-hander, but Im on a secret mission to get used to it. You know, you can have many different benefits if you do know how to use both your hands.
People who are equally adept in the use of both left and right hands a
re called:
Ambidextrous
[am-bi-dek-ster-i-tee]
It is the ability to use both your hands with equal ease or facility, but if you're armless, it could be your feet! In fact, it is quite advantageous in certain sports and martial arts to be able to use both your limbs with equal facility.
True ambidexterity is something that you can't really learn - as it tends to be something learned from birth. However it is possible, through practice, to build up a stronger ability to be able to use both hands effectively.
The Greeks encouraged and tried to promote ambidexterity bec
ause it was simply logical in sports and battle to be adept with both hands instead of one.
And did you know that the cute fluffy polar bears are all left-handed? How to check? The next time you shake hands with one, watch out which hand they reach out.
Narh im just kidding.
So the others who want to be ambidextrous, there’s no short cut to it. Only practice, practice and still practice.
During the day, use your left hand more (if you’re right-handed) by switching when you’re about ready to do something.
Pouring a glass of drink,
Bouncing a ball,
Flipping and picking up coins,
Hammering a nail,
Stirring your coffee,
Or even switching on your charger.
Small things like that can help you practice to be using both your hands efficiently.
Using your left hand to write drafts. It might be extremely time-consuming, but it does help. That’s always the reason why I spend almost forever to complete my work. It’s worth it anyway.
Hope you guys liked this blogpost and now I got to go. If I have the time, I’ll do a vlog on this. J
